Former
Louisiana Tech linebacker Barry
Robertson has earned a football
championship, and helped his bid at earning a spot in the NFL in the
process.
Allocated by the New York Giants,
Robertson's Hamburg Sea-Devils defeated
the Frankfort Galaxy 37-28 last weekend for the NFL-Europe Championship.
The hard-hitting former Bulldog played a vital role in the Sea Devils'
championship run,
Robertson ranked second in regular sesaon tackles for the
Sea Devils, totaling 32 tackles with one sack, two pass break-ups and an
interception.
Robertson started at middle linebacker for the Sea Devils in the World Bowl,
totaling five tackles and a pass break-up. The 6-1, 245-pounder also had
five tackles and a forced fumble a week earlier in an overtime playoff win
over the Rhein Fire.
Now
Robertson tries to make his mark in the NFL, hitting the field with the
Giants on July 29 when the team begins training camp at the University of
Albany in New York.
